Filled with little comics that reflect real life as a young family, this book gives off Family Circus vibes. Readers join Lou and his family as they spend time in the city, head to Montreal to visit grandparents and hang out at home.

I am a huge fan of Qin Leng’s illustration style and these little comics are such a reflection of real life making this a perfect little book of comics to pick up at the end of the day to calm the mind and ease into sleep. I love how she has collected all of the silly little moments with her young son and shared them with readers to show just how wondrous daily life can be and allow us to appreciate the small moments in each day that appear to be unremarkable but leave a big impact.

Simple black ink drawings colours with a simple shade of blue keeps this book calm and contributes to its perfection as a bedtime read and a book readers can frequently revisit.
