We are huge fans of Linda Bailey’s stories and were so excited to see this book hitting the shelves! This story is one that would have been on frequent request in the The Bear’s bedtime collection. Now that he’s older, he’s not so much of a picture book reader but when he found this story he picked it up right away and gave it a quick read. One cannot go wrong with birthday parties and dinosaurs.

It’s a story of inclusivity and not judging people by their looks. To put aside preconceived notions about how they will be and get to know them. A little bit of something to ponder and learn while enjoying a wonderful and silly story.

I LOVE how this story has a special hidden surprise. Through Joe Bluhm’s illustrations, readers will be delighted to find a sneaky character hiding out in the shadows of the story, eager to join the party. Joe Bluhm’s illustrations are immersive and lively, filling two page spreads and inviting readers into the story and making them feel safe among the dinosaurs.

This story is whimsical, magical and has everything readers are looking for and a good story.
